PASSPORT

  • A Philippine passport remains at all times the property of the Philippine Government, the passport holder being a mere possessor. Hence, the loss, mutilation or destruction of the Philippine Passport constitutes an offense with penalties set by law.
  • Passport Applications are STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
  • PERSONAL APPEARANCE is required for all passport applicants.
  • Check the validity of your current Philippine passport prior to booking international flights. Flight bookings should ONLY be made if the Philippine passport is valid for at least six (6) months.
  • Prepare all the ORIGINALS and PHOTOCOPIES of the documentary requirements for passport application. Applications with incomplete requirements and discrepant data will not be processed.
  • Photocopying services are not available in the Consulate.
  • If you were a former citizen of the Philippines who has been naturalized as a citizen of Australia or any other country, you are not eligible to be issued a Philippine passport unless you have retained or reacquired Philippine citizenship (dual citizenship) under Republic Act 9225.   • Passport photos will be taken at the Philippine Consulate and are free of charge.
  • Applicants are required to wear decent clothing for passport photo capture.
  • Plunging necklines, sleeveless clothing, see-through tops, tank tops, singlets and the like are prohibited.
  • Pieces of jewelry, eyeglasses and contact lenses are not allowed during photo capturing.
  • Teeth should not be shown, Monalisa smile is recommended.
  • Passport (New / Renewal) – A$108.00 Cash and Debit Card only
  • Replacement of Lost ePassport – A$270.00 Cash and Debit Card only
    Affidavit of Loss – A$45.00 Cash and Debit Card only

  • Passport will be released from 6 to 8 weeks from the date of data/photo capture.
  • The Philippine Consulate assumes no responsibility for any delay, loss or damage in the mail or while the documents are in the custody of the courier or postal service.
  • Kindly take a picture of your tracking number, which can be found at the Signature on Delivery sticker (orange/yellow sticker).
  • Kindly fill-out the postal envelope with your telephone number and complete address.
  • For minor applicant: Kindly write in the envelope the complete name of the minor care of (℅) the name of the parent.
    For example: Junito Santos Dela Cruz Jr. ℅ Juan Dela Cruz
  • Submit the following “Express Post” envelope with Signature on Delivery sticker, which can be obtained at any Australia Post.
    • Single Passport Applicant – Medium Sized Envelope
    • Family Passport Applicant (Maximum of 4 Passport Applicants) – Large Sized Envelope
