PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL
MELBOURNE, VICTORIA AUSTRALIA
CITIZEN’S CHARTER
5. NATIONAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION (NBI) CARD FINGERPRINTING
The Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne assists in securing an NBI Clearance by capturing the fingerprint of the applicant. This is not the NBI Clearance itself. The NBI Clearance will be issued by the NBI Office in Manila, Philippines. The marking of the applicant’s fingerprints will be assisted by the Consulate.
NBI Fingerprinting may be done at the Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne or at the Australian Police Station. Applicants who have been issued and are still in possession of NBI Clearances from 2014 to present do not need NBI fingerprinting at the Philippine Consulate. Applicants may directly submit the requirements to the NBI Office in Manila using the old original NBI Clearance. There shall be no changes on personal data (name, birthdate, or place of birth). Any change in personal data is considered a NEW APPLICATION, which would require NBI Fingerprinting at the Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne.
