CITIZEN’S CHARTER
1. APPLICATION FOR NEW PASSPORT
Application for new ePassport applies to:
1. Those who have never acquired a Philippine passport, including minors;
2. Those who have recently re-acquired Philippine Citizenship under RA 9225; and
3. Those whose previous passports are Brown Passports, Green Passports, Machine Readable Passports (issued from 2007 to 2010) or any older Passports.
The Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne accepts applicants using the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs’ Global Online Appointment System (GOAS) (https://www.passport.gov.ph/appointment) and opens on a monthly basis.
Transaction time below does not include release of passports. Release of new passports takes a minimum of six (6) weeks. Applicants are advised to file their applications for passport at least (8) eight months before the expiration of their current passport to avoid travel inconveniences. Philippine passports may be renewed as early as one (1) year before the expiry date.

2. APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF PASSPORT Application for renewal of ePassport applies to adults whose most recent passports were issued in 2011 and after. For all minors, please refer to the requirements for Application for New Passport.
