July 7, 2023, MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – The Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne held a productive dialogue with the members of the Knights of Rizal (KOR) Melbourne Entrepreneur Chapter. The primary focus of the meeting was the development of several potential initiatives aimed at bolstering the ties between the Philippines and Australia.
The meeting discussed strategies for improving Philippines-Australia trade relations, highlighting the importance of expanding networks for trade and investment. Additionally, the meeting covered potential educational opportunities for overseas Filipino students and programs to promote and uphold the legacy of Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal in Victoria. Notably, the dialogue explored the establishment of a dedicated landmark to honor Rizal in Victoria, as well as the promotion of advocacies aligned with Dr. Rizal’s values. The proposed initiatives were received with enthusiasm.
The Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne is excited about further exploring these opportunities in collaboration with the KOR and other stakeholders.
