TAXSMART CAFÉ RECOGNIZES FILIPINO-OWNED ENTERPRISES

Consul General Maria Lourdes Salcedo was the guest speaker at the 2022 Best of the Best Entrepreneur Awards by TaxSmart Café, a wholly Filipino-owned business of accounting professionals, registered tax agents, tax specialists and licensed financial advisers which supports Filipino business owners and newly arrived migrants in Australia.

In FY 2020-2021, the group was able to process AUD5M in the income tax return (ITR) refunds for their Filipino business clients. They also provide advice and master classes on Creating a sound business structure, Staying compliant, Legal tax minimisation strategies, Superannuation and Tax Laws.

With a vision to help people build wealth through legal tax minimisation, TaxSmart Café is expanding to other states, according to Romulo Gadaoni, founder of TaxSmart Café.

There were eight categories of the Awards: (1) Ten Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs; (2) Start-up of the Year; (3) Rising Star of the Year; (4) Innovator of the Year; (5) Business Mentor of the Year; (6) Advocate of the Year; (7) Compliance Excellence Award; and (8) Entrepreneur of the Year. There were 20 awardees from among around 100 nominees. “Not all are known to us,” said Atty. Gadaoni.

Practice Manager and Tax Adviser Joynivee Chua described the Entrepreneur of the Year Rene Sulit as “humble who has turned his dream into a business and now an advocacy to help Filipinos fulfil their Aussie dreams.” END
