19 March 2025, MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – The Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne assisted the Department of Agriculture (DA) delegation, led by Undersecretary Asis G. Perez, during their visit to the Post-Entry Quarantine (PEQ) Facility in Mickleham, Victoria, as part of the 6th Philippines-Australia Agriculture Forum (PAAF) held on 19 March 2025.

During the visit, the DA delegation explored the facility’s laboratories, high-containment biosecurity units, and climate-controlled animal housing areas, aiming to study innovative quarantine procedures that could enhance the competitiveness and productivity of Philippine agribusiness.
The Consulate remains committed to supporting the DA and other government agencies in strengthening Philippine agribusiness and enhancing economic growth through international collaboration.
