This is the good news in the morning of the resurrection, truly a gift from God.\u201d This is the Easter Sunday message of Monsignor Joselito Asis, head of the Filipino Catholic Chaplaincy of Melbourne (FCCM) on 4 April 2021 in a Holy Mass to celebrate the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines (1521-2021).<\/p><p>The Holy Mass was led by Scalabrini Father Provincial Delmar Silva, a Columbian priest who spent 4 years in the Philippines, and concelebrated by Monsignor Joselito Asis, head of the FCCM, and Father Alfred Yap of the St. Francis Catholic parish.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-a353c50 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"a353c50\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_ha_eqh_enable&quot;:false}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-2f0d3dc\" data-id=\"2f0d3dc\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a52b266 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a52b266\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Scalabrini Australia has a focus on the achievement of excellence in the delivery of residential aged care. The FCCM, meanwhile, aims to look after the spiritual needs of Filipino Catholic migrants in Melbourne as well as to promote and preserve the traditions and practices of the Filipino Catholics like the devotion to Sto. Nino, Black Nazarene and the Mother of Perpetual Help.<\/p><p>In his homily, Father Silva spoke of the important mission of Filipino migrants, that is to spread the joy of their faith, wherever they may be. \u201cI see a lot of similarities between Columbians and Filipinos. We see it in your eyes, on your faces, in your songs and in your prayer.
